I’m hoping to compete for the 2nd time this year at the ukdfba northern, the DFAC pro Grand Prix, and the DFAC world finals. I last competed in 2016 in the bnbf as a novice, and was lucky enough to turn pro at the world finals. I still regard myself as a bit of a novice because I’ve just got 1 year experience of competitive bodybuilding. I‘d like to share my prep, network with other bodybuilders, and hopefully get some advice too. Good luck to everyone competing this year, and thanks to AJ to giving people a platform to network and share their bodybuilding journeys. Here’s some pics of my physique, not sure if I’m timing it right. I’m 14 weeks into a diet and the first show is 18 weeks away.

I’m about 7 weeks out now. Nutrition wise I’m on 380c, 230p, 50f. Non training days I’m aiming for 300c, 230p, and 70f. Weight is 86.1kg, height 1.82. When I last competed I got down to 79.7kg, so I’m a lot heavier this time around. Cardio is just 12k steps a day. I’ve hardly done any for this prep. Supplement wise, I just use creatine, eaa, Pepto pro, cyclic dextrin, taurine, electrolyteS, magnesium glycinate, ashwaghanda, 5htp, cbd oil, casein and whey, and zinc.
Really struggling with regards to my posing routine. Not even practiced one yet and don’t really know where to start!
Thanks for the question! I had trained for 14 years before deciding to compete. I had a couple of years off due to a back injury too.
look amazing! How long had you been lifting before you decided to compete? and why did you make that decision?
Perfect Ben!! Thanks for moving this across!
Same question applies - Nutrition set up would be fantastic to see in your next post!
