    Hello Ben,

I think firstly it’s important to state that very few people will take like a duck to water when it comes to standing on a stage in a tiny pair of pants. Even if you do physique, it’s still fairly daunting.

But it’s also important to remember that it’s the first time for many others too.

Try firstly asking someone at your local gym for some posing advice and get comfortable posing in the gym. You will get used to people watching you this way. As you diet down people will likely complement you on how you look and this will serve to build confidence in yourself.

Lastly, only step on stage when you’re ready. You might need a little push as you get close but it has to feel right when you do.

    Best of luck.
