Week 1 Of 39 down.
Boxes ticked for the first week. Currently sitting around 77kg. My main weakness in past competitions is I have either been really lean but to the point where I was far too small on stage, or I have come in bigger but not as lean as is neccessary. Trial and error but such is the journey in the sport. To put things in perspective I started the above 12-14 preps at a start point of 75kg, and then 78kg (stepping on stage between 69-71 after full depletion and water loading - both mistakes and a learning curve). The latter was my last time on stage in October. At current I am feeling good, the strongest I have been in the gym and the leanest I have ever been at this bodyweight. Plan is to hold and maintain this weight for 2-3 weeks as it is relatively new territory for me. I intend to start prep again june 1st approx and i dont want to push the gun to fast and accumulate too much body fat. Any advice/thoughts welcome :)
