Looking for a little advice on the most effective way to implement a minicut 🤔
I’ve been in a surplus now for over 6 months however now feel I look a little to fluffy and would like to tighten up a bit before getting back to training in a surplus.
I’ve been eating around 3,300 kcal daily. So, I’ve decided to drop my calories to 2,300 kcal for 10 days then taper back up to 3,300 over a further 10 day period. My aim is to keep training the exact same over this period as I should be able to maintain volume and intensity throughout.
Does this sound like a good way to carrying out a minicut or can someone recommend an approach that has worked for them?

Me, personally, I don’t like to make too drastic of a change. One of the key goals in the off season is to set get your metabolism to the highest possible level of calorie efficient consumption, allowing you to begin prep with tonnes of room.
if I drop my calories by 30% like you propose, intensity goes out the window within 5-7 days.
I personally reduce Duce my calories by around 250kcal per day and aim to burn a further 250kcal either via neat, increased volume or cardio. Small steps.
That’s just my approach and in all fairness I come into condition quite quickly. 3-4 weeks.
